  • Get running for a good cause

    23/05/08

Christian Aid has 150 places left in the world’s biggest half-marathon – the BUPA Great North Run - on 5 October 2008. It’s a wonderful event with an electrifying atmosphere and we’re asking runners to raise just £300 to take part.
One of last year’s runners, Kevin Clelland, ran with his wife Amy and his mate, Daniel. “It was Amy's first half marathon so we took it easy and came home over an hour down on my time last year and 29000 places further back but it was probably my most enjoyable Great North Run yet!" he said.
Thanks to people like Kevin, Amy and Daniel, Christian Aid will be raising money to help poor communities worldwide. This could be you!
If you want to be part of this truly mind-blowing event and join in the fun call us now to reserve your place and avoid disappointment on 020 7523 2248 or email events@christian-aid.org.

  • Help hatch hope today - buy chicks from Present Aid

    23/05/08

Present Aid has just launched a fantastic new gift: a brood of chicks.
Our partner in Bolivia is providing struggling families with 18 hens, two cockerels and training in how to look after them.
They then have eggs to eat and sell at market. It’s a great way to help people help themselves.
So buy some chicks for a loved one and hatch some hope today.

  • How Christian Aid is helping in Burma

    23/05/08

Christian Aid partners are on the ground devliering practical relief in cyclone stricken Burma.
They are distributing water purification tablets, blankets, plastic sheeting and medicines to people in the worst-hit areas.
Around 2 million people are believed to be at risk of hunger and disease due the Burma regime limiting humanitarian access to the region. As Christian Aid works through local partner networks in Burma, it has been able to deliver aid to affected communities.
With your help we hope to raise £2 million for our work in Burma.

  • Do you want to make a fairer world?

    23/05/08

Then come along to one of Christian Aid's transformation seminars being held in September and October in various locations around the country.
The one-day events will include practical sessions to polish up campaigning skills as well as exploring the issues that are keeping people poor – and what we can all do about it.

And because change can be fun, too, there will be loads to do for the whole family, with all-age activities, games and challenges for children and young people, and an on-site crèche.
